Galway to Shannon and departure. Includes Castle
Bunratty.
My god, finally there are some photos from my last
day in Ireland (though not many).
I wasn't going to go but I had left
Galway a little early and I had some time to
kill before my flight. Castle Bunratty is just a
couple of kilometers from Shannon so it was
a simple decision to head over and check it out.
Bunratty had a feel a bit like Sturbridge
Village (Massachusetts). Seeing a real castle for the first
time was very interesting. Being from the U.S. I wasn't really
used to seeing buildings older than my country.
However, outside of the
castle the rest of the village that surrounded
it was a bit hokey. It was interesting to see
the houses that the plebs lived in but not a
real draw for me. I was more interested in
the castle itself.

Just thought it would make in interesting
photo. Plus it has that whole 'Older than the
U.S.' aura about it. |
